About Phoenix Frames
Experts in our field
Picture framing has been in our family for over 50 years.
My father produced the first copper etchings which were probably in every house in the 1970s and 1980s! He also developed some of the first automatic machines which are common-place now in the industry.
With over 70 years’ experience between us, we have been involved with everything from importing picture and mirror glass from all over the world (including being the first UK company to import glass from Czechoslovakia), recycling specialist glass from Pilkington UK, being the first UK company to use a fully automated production line; producing over 100,000 photo frame backs per week with more than 10 fulltime staff, to the Picture Galleries and Bespoke Framing we are today.
We only care about quality.
We strive to provide only the best quality products to our customers. We are able to select whether to use either traditional or modern methods of framing, depending on the customer’s specification and requirements.
We have a modern, clean manufacturing workshop which incorporates a separate cutting room and a clean room. We have recently invested in the latest computerised mount cutter but also have the skill and techniques to cut mounts by hand: this is used often with our glass cutting and frame making, as we like to use traditional skills when required for certain projects.
We have recently been recognised for our varied skill set and techniques by being incorporated into the Fine Art Trade Guild after 10 years of continually improving our standards.
